About Me

A Journey to Health and Wellness

Five years ago, I weighed 67 kg, with a BMI of 29—borderline obese. I struggled with PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome), high cholesterol, persistent acne, and irregular, painful periods that occurred once every 2-3 months. For those unfamiliar, PCOS is a metabolic disorder caused by excess insulin in the blood, which triggers an overproduction of male hormones and results in cysts in the ovaries.

But what caused it?

  • Genetics? Yes, my mother had PCOS, though she didn’t know it at the time.
  • Overeating? No, I never overate.
  • High insulin levels? Maybe—a contributing factor I didn’t fully understand back then.
  • A poor lifestyle? Possibly.
  • No exercise? Unlikely. I’d been active since childhood and started swimming when I was just 3.

What I did lack, however, was knowledge about nutrition. Growing up, I had no idea how important macronutrients like healthy fats, protein, and carbs were for my body. I ate whatever tasted good—mostly junk food and carb-heavy meals.

After years of struggling with PCOS and its debilitating effects, I discovered the transformative power of nutrition. With the right knowledge, I lost over 20 kg in just one year, reversed my PCOS, and became the healthiest, fittest version of myself I had ever known.

This journey taught me that achieving wellness isn't just about exercise or genetics; it's about understanding your body and fueling it the right way. It’s this realization that inspired me to create Protone Fit—to empower others to take control of their health, break free from misinformation, and transform their lives through personalized wellness solutions.
